Vallesaccarda Wind Farm
The Vallesaccarda wind farm is located in the "Montuccio" area of the Vallesaccarda Municipality, Avellino Province. The plant was developed and constructed in two separated phases and is based on n°15 1,5MW wind turbines and relevant interconnection to the National Grid facilities, for an overall installed capacity of 22.5 MW.
Both for the first and second phases, the permitting procedure has been carried out according to the applicable Campania Region's guidelines; main permits obtained were relevant to (i) the environmental impact assessment, (ii) the building permit and (iii) the interconnection facilities construction and operation.
Plant construction was handled by Foster Wheeler Italiana S.r.l., through the execution of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract.

The project has been financed through a "non-recourse" project financing scheme; BNP Paribas group acted as sole arranger and underwriter of the deal.
The plant started its commercial operation on January 2006, and it's capable to produce up to 45 GWh/year of electric energy, enough to feed the needs of about 15.000 homes, lowering CO2 emissions for an amount of about 27.000 t/year.
