Voreas
Voreas S.r.l. is an independent power company, 50% owned by Foster Wheeler Italiana S.r.l. and 50% by Starwind S.r.l. (ICQ group).
Set up in 2004, the company scope is the development, construction and operation of wind farms in Italy.
In relation to this market the company carries out the following activities:
- Feasibility Studies
- Basic design
- Permitting & other regulatory approvals
- Financing
- Ownership and asset management
The company is currently operating the 48 MW Pietramontecorvino wind farm, located in Pietramontecorvino, Foggia province. Voreas is also developing 2 additional initiatives in the same Municipality, with an overall capacity of about 70 MW.
Safeguarding of the environment and protecting peoples’ safety are top priorities for Voreas. The Voreas Environmental and Safety Policy document states the commitment of the company towards acting in an environmentally responsible and safe way.
The environmental management system (EMS) has been implemented in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 14001 standard and CE n.761/01 (EMAS II) regulations, created to manage the plant's environmental and safety issues, in the most efficient and responsible way.
